He married twice. He married Maria Dawney in Bauleah, India, 16 June 1824. He married Charlotte Alicia Frances Leycester in Calcutta Cathedral, India, 7 December 1835. Charlotte was born 1818. Charlotte was the daughter of William Leycester and Alicia Friell. Charlotte died 1898 in Hampstead, London, at 80 years of age. She was christened 2 March 1818. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Grove House, Caversham, Oxfordshire, 1851. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 63 Queens Gardens, Paddington, London, 1861. 2 i. Annie Charlotte² MacPherson was born in Moorshedabad, Bengal, India c1829. Annie died 1907 in Richmond, Surrey, at 78 years of age. She married Henry Edward Landor Thuillier in Bengal, India, 8 April 1847. Henry was born in Bath, Somerset 10 July 1813. Henry was the son of Mr. Thuillier. Henry died 6 May 1906 in Richmond, Surrey, at 92 years of age. He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in 32 Cambridge Terrace, Paddington, London.
