30. George⁵ Vernon (Sir George⁴, Henry³, George², Henry¹) was born c1659. George died 7/08/1735 at 76 years of age. His body was interred 1735 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham.

He married Elizabeth Claxton. Elizabeth was the daughter of Ralph Claxton. Elizabeth died 1725. Her body was interred 14/06/1725 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham.

Of Pulham St. Mary's, Norfolk.

Near this place lyeth the body of George Vernon Esq. only son of Sir George Vernon of Farnham Knight who departed this life the 7 August 1735 aged 76 years Also the body of his daughter Matilda who departed this life the 1 February 1734 aged 38 years Also the body of his daughter Dorothea who departed this life the 28 July 1751 aged 52 years.

George Vernon had the following children:

45 i. Anne Catherine⁶ Vernon. She married Charles Vernon 1716. Charles was born c1683. Charles was the son of Sir Thomas Vernon and Anne Weston. Charles died 4/04/1762 at 78 years of age. His body was interred 1762 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham. He made a will 4/08/1750. Charles's will was probated 3/05/1762. (See Charles Vernon for the continuation of this line.)

46 ii. Elizabeth Vernon. Died without issue.

George Vernon and Elizabeth Claxton had the following children:

47 iii. Matilda Vernon was born c1696. Matilda died 1/02/1734 at 37 years of age. Her body was interred 1734 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham. Died unmarried.

48 iv. Dorothea Vernon was born c1699. Dorothea died 28/07/1751 at 52 years of age. Her body was interred 1751 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham. Died unmarried.
