4 iii. Robert Smith was born 1658. He was christened in Edinburgh, 14/02/1658.

5 iv. Helen Smith was born in Edinburgh 1659. Helen died c1732 at 73 years of age. She married James Balfour in Edinburgh, 1679. James was born in Edinburgh 1652. James was the son of James Balfour and Bridget Chalmers. James died c1702 at 50 years of age. (See James Balfour for the continuation of this line.)
