1. Marmaduke¹ Sowle birth date unknown.

He married Lucretia Holmes. Lucretia was born 1710. Lucretia was the daughter of Colonel Henry Holmes and Mary Holmes. Lucretia died 10/01/1775 at 64 years of age. She was baptized in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, 28/09/1710.

Marmaduke Sowle and Lucretia Holmes had the following children:

2 i. Jane² Sowle. She married Henry Roberts. (See Henry Roberts for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Mary Sowle was born 1732. Mary died 1766 in Irish Channel, at 34 years of age. She married Lieutenant General John Stanwix. John was born 1690. John died 1766 in Irish Channel, at 76 years of age. i0 MP for Carlisle in 1746 and Governor of Carlisle in 1752. Governor of the Isle of Wight 1763. Drowned in the Irish Channel whilst crossing from Ireland to England. His father had been an Island MP. Died without issue.

She was baptized 30/03/1732. Was drowned with her husband. Died without issue.

4 iii. Lucretia Sowle was born 1737. Lucretia died 1824 at 87 years of age. Her body was interred 20/04/1824. She married John Roberts.

She was baptized 13/08/1737. Died without issue.
