Alexander Rae had the following child:

2 i. Helen² Rae. She married Sir Thomas Hope. Thomas was born 6/08/1606. Thomas was the son of Sir Thomas Hope and Elizabeth Bennet. Thomas died 23/08/1643 in Edinburgh, at 37 years of age. Thomas was knighted 1631. (See Sir Thomas Hope for the continuation of this line.) Father also found as Adam Rae (DNB).
