3. James³ Prentice (John², Thomas¹) was born 1711. James died 20/11/1777 at 66 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Oates. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Oates and Anne Murray.

James Prentice and Elizabeth Oates had the following child:
