From Memories of Moreton: By March 1810, however, Abram Rawlinson seems to have acquired control of the remaining shares, because he sold the house and the bulk of the Creswick estate in Moreton on 3 March 1810 to Sir Charles Cockerell of Sezincote. The sale of the house by Abram Rawlinson had separated ownership of the former Creswick residence from the remnant of their property in Moreton, which had descended to the male heir of the marriage of Joseph Creswick's daughter, Eleanor, to Thomas Grimstead. After the inclosure their son, Joseph Valentine Grimstead, held 90 acres to the immediate south east of the town, including the 14 acres he was allotted in lieu of the Creswicks' 20 cow commons on Moreton Heath.
