24. Charles⁵ Vernon (Sir Thomas⁴, Henry³, George², Henry¹) was born c1683. Charles died 4/04/1762 at 78 years of age. His body was interred 1762 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham.

He married Anne Catherine Vernon 1716. Anne was the daughter of George Vernon.

He made a will 4/08/1750. Charles's will was probated 3/05/1762. Merchant in Turkey, afterwards of Farnham, Surrey.

Memorial found in St. Andrews Church, Farnham: (very top unreadable)

.......and also of Anne Catherine Vernon his wife, daughter of George Vernon Esq. of Farnham by whom he had issue. Four sons and two daughters. Charles who died in Ostend in Flanders November 11 1734 aged 17 years. Two sons both named George who died infants. Thomas who died July 15 1749 aged 28 years and are buried in the vault. Anne married doctor John Butler, prebendary of Winchester .........

Charles Vernon and Anne Catherine Vernon had the following children:

37 ii. George Vernon. Died in infancy.

38 iii. Anne Vernon. Anne died 20/01/1804. She married John Butler 26/05/1764. John died 10/12/1802. i0 Prebendary of Winchester. Bishop of Bristol. Bishop of Hereford until his death in 1802. Died without issue.

39 iv. Charles Vernon was born c1717. Charles died 11/11/1734 Ostend, at 17 years of age. His body was interred 1734 Farnham Vault. In the army. Died without issue.

40 v. Thomas Vernon was born c1721. Thomas died 15/07/1749 at 27 years of age. His body was interred 1749 Farnham Vault. Died without issue.

41 vi. Elizabeth Vernon was born c1722. Elizabeth died c1780 at 58 years of age. She married William Aislabie. i0 Of Studley Park, Yorkshire. Died without issue.
