2. William² Keith 3rd Earl Marischal (Robert¹) was born c1510. William died 7/10/1581 in Dunotter Castle, Kincardineshire, at 71 years of age.

He married Margaret Keith c1531. Margaret was born c1518. Margaret was the daughter of Sir William Keith. Margaret died c1563 at 45 years of age.

Had twelve children, nine daughters and three sons. Fought at the battle of Pinkie.

William Keith 3rd Earl Marischal and Margaret Keith had the following children:

3 i. Robert³ Keith Lord Altrie.

+ 4 ii. William Keith Lord Keith and Master of Marischal was born c1535.
