First Generation

1. Major General Arthur Thomas1 Moore was born 1830. Arthur died 25/04/1913 in Dublin, Ireland, at 82 years of age.

He married Annie Prentice. Annie was born 1833. Annie was the daughter of Henry Leslie Prentice and Anne Dobbin. Annie died 1922 at 89 years of age.

He was awarded the Victoria Cross on 8/02/1857 for his gallantry in riding through a Persian square at the battle of Khoosab. Major-General Arthur Thomas Moore, C.B., V.C., of Holywood, County Down joined the East India Company's service in 1850, and was posted to the 3rd Bombay Light Cavalry. He took part in the Persian Mutiny campaign, and was afterwards with Sir Hugh Rose's force in Central India.

Major General Arthur Thomas Moore and Annie Prentice had the following children:

child 6 v. Aileen Edith Moore. She married Henry Barrows Household 1910. Henry was born c1871. Henry was the son of R. Henry Household. Henry died 3/07/1938 in Hove, West Sussex, at 67 years of age. (See Henry Barrows Household for the continuation of this line.)
