Walter was the son of William Pither and May Harding. He was listed as a resident in the census report in Bog Side, Sunninghill, Berkshire, 30/03/1851. Walter was a boarder 1861 in Bog Side, Sunninghill, Berkshire. He was listed as head of household in the 1871 census in Sunninghill, Berkshire.
