Reverend Archibald Kidd, 1754 - 1833

6. Archibald² Kidd (Benjamin¹) was born 2/04/1754. Archibald died 26/07/1833 in Jonesborough, County Armagh, at 79 years of age. His body was interred 1833 in Jonesborough Churchyard.

He married Bridget Arbuthnot. Bridget was born 1755. Bridget was the daughter of Reverend Nicholas Arbuthnot and Margaret Forster. Bridget died 26/12/1819 in Jonesborough, County Armagh, at 64 years of age. Her body was interred 1819 in Jonesborough Churchyard.

He was ordained a priest in 1778. Rector of Jonesborough. Alternate date of death found of 24/06/1833.

Archibald Kidd and Bridget Arbuthnot had the following children:

+ 10 i. William Lodge³ Kidd was born 16/12/1784.

+ 11 ii. Richard Augustus Kidd was born 1786.

12 iii. Eliza Jane Kidd was born 1787. Eliza died 05/03/1845 in Armagh, at 57 years of age. Her body was interred 1845 in St. Marks Church, Armagh. She married George Prentice in Jonesborough Barracks, 20/05/1814. Married by Reverend A. Kidd.

George was born 1789. George was the son of James Prentice and Mary Large. George died 1830 in Bridgetown, Barbados, at 41 years of age. His body was interred 1830 in Bridgetown, Barbados. (See George Prentice for the continuation of this line.)

13 iv. Catherine Kidd was born 1788. Catherine died 1795 at 7 years of age.

14 v. Frances Anne Kidd was born 1790. Frances died 1791 at 1 year of age.

15 vi. Alexander Staples Kidd was born 1792. Alexander died 1792 at less than one year of age.

16 vii. Jane Kidd was born 1794. Jane died 1794 at less than one year of age.

17 viii. Catherine Anne Staples Kidd was born 11/11/1795. Catherine died 9/05/1828 in Jonesborough, County Armagh, at 32 years of age. Her body was interred 1828 in Jonesborough Churchyard. Died unmarried
