John Mackintosh of Corrybrough More Capt. 42nd Highlanders

6. Captain John⁵ Mackintosh (Angus⁴, Lachlan³, William², Lachlan¹) birth date unknown. John died 1803.

He married Margaret M'Gilchrist.

Captain John Mackintosh and Margaret M'Gilchrist had the following children:

8 i. Eliza⁶ Mackintosh was born 1782. She married Mr. Gloag 1801.

9 ii. Margaret Mackintosh was born 1783.

10 iii. Anne Mackintosh was born 1786. Anne died 29/06/1825 at 39 years of age. She married James Balfour c1806. James was born in St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Scotland 07/01/1774. James was the son of John Balfour 3rd Laird of Pilrig and Jean Whytt. James died 20/03/1860 at 86 years of age. He was listed as head of household in the 1841 census Pilrig House, Edinburgh. Buried in the Parish Church of South Leith.
