He married Mary Troughear 14/09/1748. Mary was born 13/07/1726. Mary was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Troughear and Elizabeth Holmes. Mary died 1768 at 41 years of age. Mary signed a marriage settlement with Benjamin Leigh 08/09/1748.

Benjamin signed a marriage settlement with Mary Troughear 08/09/1748. of Thorley. Mayor of Yarmouth in 1763.

Benjamin Leigh and Mary Troughear had the following children:

2 i. Benjamin² Leigh was born 26/06/1749. Benjamin died 1750 at less than one year of age. His body was interred 26/01/1750. He was baptized 7/07/1749.

+ 3 ii. Barnabus Leigh was born 27/10/1751.

4 iii. Anne Leigh was born 2/04/1753. Anne died 10/02/1799 at 45 years of age. She married Sir Hugh Cloberry-Christian.

5 iv. Charles Leigh was born 2/02/1758.
