He married Arabella Benson Canlin 6/07/1826.

Edward Hardtman and Arabella Benson Canlin had the following children:

18 i. Frederick Mortimer⁶ Hardtman. He made a will 15/06/1879. of White Flag Estate. Planter. Died without issue.

19 ii. Arabella Hardtman. She married Benjamin Dunbar Wemyss. (See Benjamin Dunbar Wemyss for the continuation of this line.)
