27 i. Harold Maurice Hardtman⁸ Berkeley was born in Shadwell, West Indies 1879. Harold died 22 May 1933 in Kissingen, Germany, at 53 years of age. Educated Chigwell Grammar School and Magdalene College, Cambridge. Join ed the Colonial Service and held numerous posts in West Africa.

28 ii. Miss Berkeley was born in Shadwell, West Indies 6 April 1891.
