James Halyburton had the following child:

2 i. Agatha² Halyburton. Agatha died 11/12/1748 in Edinburgh. She married James Douglas 14th Earl of Morton before 1731. James was born in Edinburgh 1702. James was the son of George Douglas 13th Earl of Morton and Frances Adderley. James died 12/10/1768 in Chiswick, Middlesex, at 66 years of age. James Acceded 1738. James had 5 sons by his first wife Agatha Halyburton, 4 of which predeceased him. After Agatha's death in 1748, James married Bridget Heathcote with whom he also had a son. James died in 1768 and the family possessions passed to his only surviving son by Agatha Halyburton.
