27. Sir James¹⁰ Elphinstone (William⁹, James⁸, Alexander⁷, James⁶, William⁵, Nicolas⁴, Andrew³, Laurence², Sir Henry¹) was born c 1645. James died 1722 at 77 years of age.

He married Cecilia Denholm 1673. Cecilia was the daughter of John Denholm. Cecilia died 1706.

Writer to the Signet, 1671. MP for Aberdeen, 1693 - 1702.

Sir James Elphinstone and Cecilia Denholm had the following child:

Sir John Elphinstone of Logie, Bart.

+ 30 i. Sir John¹¹ Elphinstone was born 1675.
