8. John³ Forrest (David², William¹) was born in Inverkeithing, Fifeshire 3/11/1761. John died 25/10/1822 in Stirling, Sterlingshire, at 60 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Glas 20/01/1788. Elizabeth was born in Stirling 5/11/1766. Elizabeth died December 1847 in Edinburgh; of No. 23 Ann Stree, at 81 years of age.

John Forrest and Elizabeth Glas had the following children:

+ 12 i. David⁴ Forrest was born 3/03/1789.

13 ii. Christian Forrest was born in Stirling 18/05/1793.

14 iii. Elizabeth Forrest was born in Stirling 27/07/1795. She married Robert Adie. Robert was born in Crieff 1790.

15 iv. Alexander Forrest was born in Stirling 9/03/1797.

16 v. Marion Forrest was born in Stirling 28/10/1798. She married Alexander Johnstone. Alexander was born 1795. (See Alexander Johnstone for the continuation of this line.)

17 vi. Margaret Forrest was born in Stirling 10/07/1801.

18 vii. Isabella Craik Forrest was born in Stirling 6/08/1802.

+ 19 viii. John Forrest was born 20/06/1804.

20 ix. Charles Grieve Forrest was born in Stirling 25/02/1807.
