He married Jean Lyon 19/03/1582. Jean was the daughter of John Lyon 8th Lord Glamis. Jean died before 23/02/1611.

Of Lochleven

Sir William's eldest son disappeared in travel circa 1548, so the Morton possessions devolved to Sir William's grandson upon his death on September 27, 1606.

Robert Douglas and Jean Lyon had the following child:
