1. Laurens¹ des Bouveries was born 1542. Laurens died 1610 at 68 years of age.

He married Barbe van den Hove. Barbe died 1591 in Canterbury, Kent.

A younger son of the Sieur des Bouveries, of Chateau des Bouveries near Lille in Flanders, he was a merchant in the silk and cloth trade. To flee the religious persecution in the Netherlands, in 1568 he went to Sandwich in England, finally settling in London. Brothers Jean Des Bouveries and Antoine Des Bouveries.

Laurens des Bouveries and Barbe van den Hove had the following child:

+ 2 i. Edward² des Bouveries was born 1588.
