1. Michael¹ Carter was born in Ireland 10 July 1745. Michael died 13 September 1821 in Ireland, at 76 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Boileau in Castelnau, Dublin, 15 July 1775. Elizabeth was born 3 July 1760. Elizabeth was the daughter of Simeon Peter Boileau and Magdalen Elizabeth De La Cour Desbrisay. Elizabeth died 1825 in Ireland, at 64 years of age.

Michael Carter and Elizabeth Boileau had the following children:

2 i. Magdeline² Carter was born in Inch House, Athy, Kildare, Ireland 5 November 1782. Magdeline died 30 November 1876 in Essex, New Jersey, at 94 years of age.

3 ii. Charlotte Grace Carter was born in Athy, Kildare, Ireland 15 August 1785. Charlotte died 17 February 1850 at 64 years of age. She married twice. She married Lieutenant James Michell in Carter Hill, Athy, Kildare, Ireland, 3 October 1810. (See Lieutenant James Michell for the continuation of this line.) She married William Connor 27 March 1827.

4 iii. Mary Julia Carter was born in Inch House, Athy, Kildare, Ireland September 1789. Mary died 1790 in Athy, Kildare, Ireland, at less than one year of age.

5 iv. Lizzie Carter was born in Inch House, Athy, Kildare, Ireland 17 March 1796. Lizzie died September 1796 in Inch House, Athy, Kildare, Ireland, at less than one year of age.

6 v. Samuel Carter was born in Inch House, Athy, Kildare, Ireland 17 October 1797. Samuel died 1817 at 19 years of age.
