Charles was born in Heytesbury, Wiltshire 14/10/1819. Charles was the son of Lieutenant-General Charles Ashe à Court and Mary Elizabeth Catherine Gibbs. Charles died 29/10/1903 in Bridge End, Ockham, Surrey, at 84 years of age. His body was interred 2/11/1903 in Brookwood Crematorium. He was christened in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, 22/11/1819. He was listed as a resident in the census report in Ammington Hall, Ammington, Warwickshire, 1851. He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in 15 Chesham Street, Knightsbrideg, London.
