2 i. Mary² Compton was born in Westminster, London 4/09/1705. Mary died 1780 at 74 years of age. She married Thomas Gooch 2nd Baronet in Ely House, Holborn, London, 17/02/1748. Thomas was born in Worlingham, Suffolk 19/01/1675. Thomas was the son of Thomas Gooch and Frances Lone. Thomas died 14/02/1754 in Ely House, Holborn, London, at 79 years of age. His body was interred 1754 in Gonville and Caius Chapel, Cambridge.

She was christened in Westminster, London, 18/09/1705.
