He married Sarah Popham in St. Clement's Danes, 2/03/1581. Sarah was the daughter of Edward Popham and Jane Norton. She made a will 27/03/1629. Sarah's will was probated 29/06/1631.

He made a will 30/12/1598. John's will was probated 28/04/1600. Of Bristol and of The Inner Temple, London.

John Courte and Sarah Popham had the following children:
