81. Samuel¹⁵ Ashe (John¹⁴, John¹³, John¹², James¹¹, John¹⁰, James⁹, Nicholas⁸, John⁷, William⁶, John⁵, Baldwin⁴, Richard³ Eshe, Henry², Sir Oliver¹ D'Esse) was born 1703. Samuel died 1736 at 33 years of age.

He married twice. He married Catherine Clement. Catherine died 1732. He married Elizabeth Burt. Elizabeth died 1734. Of Berkeley County, South Carolina and Charleston.

Samuel Ashe and Catherine Clement had the following children:

86 i. Cato¹⁶ Ashe. Member of Provincial Assembly and a Revolutionist in 1776.

87 ii. Mary Ashe. Married a Mr. Raven and had issue.

Samuel Ashe and Elizabeth Burt had the following child:

88 iii. Theodora Ashe. She married three times. She married John Theus. (See John Theus for the continuation of this line.) She married John Simmons. Died without issue. She married Mr. Frampton. Married 1 Franklin, 2 Simmons, 3 John Theus 1765. With Franklin had 2 daughters....the Pope, Jenkins, Lawton, Matthews connection. With Theus had Thurman who had issue and Theodora who married in 1790 Joseph Pope of St. Helena Island, South Carolina. The Isle of Wight connection.
