25. Hugh¹² Hamersley (Reverend Samuel¹¹, Hugh¹⁰, Hugh⁹, William⁸, Sir Hugh⁷, Hugh⁶, Richard⁵, Richard⁴, Rad'us³ de Homersley, Adam², Robert¹) was born 1767. Hugh died 1825 at 58 years of age.

He married Margaret Bevan 1810. Margaret was the daughter of John Bevan.

of Pyrton Manor, and West Lawn, Sandgate.

Hugh Hamersley and Margaret Bevan had the following children:

26 i. Edward¹³ Hamersley. Edward died 1874. He married Anne Louise Cornelis. Settled in W. Australia. Had six sons and two daughters.

27 ii. Samuel Hamersley. Married and had issue, Malcolm Travers Hamersley who married Catherine Spratt.

28 iii. Frances Isabella Hamersley. Married to William Locke Brockman.

29 iv. Elizabeth Hamersley. Married 1st to George Johnston, son of Gen Johnston, and had issue; and 2nd, Baron von Könitz.

+ 30 v. Hugh Hamersley was born 1/08/1814.

31 vi. Margaret Hamersley was born in London c1816. She married Mr. Grier.

She was listed as a resident in the census report in Haseley House, Great Haseley, Oxfordshire, 30/03/1851. Married 1st, to Mr. Grier, and 2nd to G. Mitchell.
