He married twice. He married Mary Batt. Mary was the daughter of Reverend Samuel Batt. He married Martha Jones. Also found mentioned a Martha Ivie (y) and Martha Joy.

He emigrated, 1700. Point of origin: pt of origin unknown. Living 1672/3 "Emigrated to South Carolina" - from the à Court Pedigree. Had three more children, but maternity is undetermined. Richard - had issue. Algernon - had one daughter. Theodora dsp 1760. Richard and Algernon were the Loyalist Congregationalist Ashes of Charleston, South Carolina and "Wilton" on the Edistow.

John Ashe and Martha Jones had the following children:

80 i. John¹⁵ Ashe. John died 1711. His body was interred 1711 in Chilnock, Wiltshire. John's will was probated 1712. Of Dombo in South Carolina.

+ 81 ii. Samuel Ashe was born 1703.

82 iii. Martha Ashe. Believed to have married Thomas Smith Jr. son of the 2nd Landgrave.

John Ashe and Mary Batt had the following child:
