57. William13 Ashe (Edward12, James11, John10, James9, Nicholas8, John7, William6, John5, Baldwin4, Richard3 Eshe, Henry2, Sir Oliver1 D'Esse) was born c1647. William died 22/10/1713 at 66 years of age. His body was interred 29/10/1713 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire.

He married twice. He married Mary Bateman. Mary was the daughter of Mr. Bateman. He married Anne Popham in Chelton, Wiltshire, 27/06/1670. Anne was born c1654. Anne was the daughter of Alexander Popham and Letitia Carre. Anne died 20/04/1684 at 29 years of age.

He made a will 2/10/1713. William's will was probated 3/05/1714. St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, matriculated 11 November 1664. Of Inner Temple, Whig MP for Heytesbury for 10 parliaments.

William Ashe and Anne Popham had the following children:

child 71 i. Laetitia14 Ashe. Laetitia died 28/02/1742. She married Thomas Penruddock. Thomas was born 1678. Thomas was the son of Thomas Penruddock and Frances Hanham. Thomas died 1741 at 63 years of age. (See Thomas Penruddock for the continuation of this line.)

She was baptized in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, 5/02/1680.

child 72 ii. Edward Ashe was born 1673. Edward died 22/05/1748 at 74 years of age. His body was interred 28/05/1748 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. He married Frances Luttreal 17/08/1710. Frances was born c1675. Frances died 30/03/1743 at 67 years of age. Her body was interred 6/04/1743 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. Wadham College, Oxford, matriculated 7 April 1690. MP for Heytesbury 1695 - 1747. Officer of the Board of Trade. Died without issue. Property left to his nephew William, and failing his line to heirs of Elizabeth.

child 74 iv. Alexander Ashe was born 1677. He was baptized in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, 29/09/1677. Christ Church College, Oxford, matriculated 11 July 1693; BA 1697; fellow Oriel College, Oxford 1700; MA 1701. Died unmarried.

child 75 v. John Ashe was born 1/01/1682. John died 21/08/1682 at less than one year of age.

child 76 vi. Elizabeth Ashe was born 1682. Elizabeth died 1746 at 64 years of age. Her body was interred 1746 in Rodden, Somerset. She married Peirce à Court in St Giles in the Fields, 27/11/1705. Peirce was born 1677. Peirce was the son of John à Court and Mary Peirce. Peirce died 20/03/1724 at 46 years of age. 1724 or 1725
