2. Edwin Frederick2 Wodehouse (Colonel Edwin1) was born in Scotland c1851. Edwin died 1/04/1934 in Finmere Grounds, Buckingham, at 82 years of age.

He married Margaret à Court-Repington in St. George's Hanover Square, 21/06/1881. Margaret was born in London c1856. Margaret was the daughter of Charles Henry Wyndham à Court-Repington and Emily Currie. Margaret died 2/11/1927 at 71 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 15 Chesham Street, Knightsbrideg, London, 1881.

Major Sir Frederick Wodehouse, late R.A., who died at Finmere Grounds, Buckingham, on sunday at the age of 83, was formerly an Assistant Commissioner, Metropolitan Police.

The only son of Colonel Edwin Wodehouse, C.B., R.A., Edwin Frederick Wodehouse was descended from the first Baron Wodehouse, and joined the Royal Artillery from the Royal Militry Acadmey in 1870. He served in the Afghan War of 1878-80, receiving the clasp for Ali Musjid. In 1890 he was appointed Assistant Commissioner of the City of London Police, and in 1902 became an Assistant Commissioner of Metropolitan Police. He retired in 1918. He was made a C.B. in 1909, a K.C.V.O. in 1911, and a K.C.B. in 1917. He married, in 1881, Margaret, daughter of the late C. H. à Court Repington, of Amington Hall, Tamworth; she died in 1927 leaving one daughter.

The funeral will be a Brookwood Cemetary at 2.30 to-morrow, and there wil be a memorial service at Holy Trinity, Sloane Street, simultaneously.

Edwin Frederick Wodehouse and Margaret à Court-Repington had the following children:

child 3 i. Joan3 Wodehouse was born in Ipswich, Suffolk 21/04/1882.

child 4 ii. Alice Wodehouse was born in Ipswich, Suffolk 20/11/1883. Alice died 15/12/1919 at 36 years of age. She married Cecil Eustace Harrison 23/01/1912.
