17. John⁴ à Court (John³, William², William¹) was born in Rodden, Somerset c1646. John died 27/10/1701 in Rodden, Somerset, at 55 years of age. His body was interred 1701 in Rodden, Somerset.

He married Mary Peirce 3/05/1677. Mary was born circa 1655. Mary was the daughter of Robert Peirce and Anna Trimm. Mary died 1/02/1679 at 23 years of age. Her body was interred 1679 Abbey Church, Bath.

John's will was probated 4/03/1702. Aged 26 at the Heralds visitation of Somerset in 1672. Administration of his effects granted 4 March 1701/2 to Peirce à Court his son.

John à Court and Mary Peirce had the following child:

+ 20 i. Peirce⁵ à Court was born 1677.
