He married Anna L. Ames. Anna was born in Nebraska 31/03/1877. Anna was the daughter of William R. Ames and Louisa Balfour. Anna died 6/05/1951 at 74 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Wyoming, Otoe, Nebraska, 1880.

Jesse V. West and Anna L. Ames had the following children:

3 ii. Elmer West was born 1904. Elmer died 1976 at 72 years of age. Married Martha and had no issue.

5 iv. Elizabeth West was born 1909. Elizabeth died 1978 at 69 years of age. She married G. Edmondson. Died without issue.
