He married twice. He married Margaret Browne Campbell in St Mark's Church, Darling Point, Sydney, 29 June 1950. Margaret was born in Boongala, 28 Ku-ring-gai Avenue, Turramurra, Nsw 18 June 1928. Margaret died 13 September 1989 in 5 Wolsely Road, Mosman, Nsw, at 61 years of age. Her body was interred 20/09/1989 in North Shore Crematorium, North Ryde. Margaret's occupation: occupation unknown in Julian Ashtons, 1958.
