4. James⁴ Butler 4th Earl of Ormonde (James³, James², James¹) was born 1390. James died 23/08/1452 in Ardee, Louth, at 62 years of age.

He married Joan Beauchamp. Joan died 1430.

James Butler 4th Earl of Ormonde and Joan Beauchamp had the following child:

5 i. Elizabeth⁵ Butler. Elizabeth died 1473. She married John Talbot 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury c1444. John was the son of John Talbot 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and Maud Neville. John died 1460. (See John Talbot 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury for the continuation of this line.)
