He married Sophia Clarence Copley in St. George's Hanover Square, 1854. Sophia was born in London c1829. She was listed as a resident in the census report in College Villa, St. Helier, Jersey, 1861. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Ynirygerwn House, Neath, Wales, 1891.

He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census in College Villa, St. Helier, Jersey. Hamilton was visiting 1871 in 6 Half Moon Street, Westminster, London. Hamilton was visiting 1881 in 36 Rochester Road, St. Pancras, London. There is a Coleman Beckett b c. 1864 in Falmouth, Cornwall, listed with Hamilton staying with Elizabeth Allen in the 1881 census. Hamilton is listed as visitor and Coleman is listed as Grandson.

2 i. Constance Mary² Beckett was born in St. George's Hanover Square c1856. Constance died 8/02/1932 in London, at 75 years of age. She married Henry Campbell Bruce 2nd Baron Aberdare 10/02/1880. Henry was born in Aberdare, Glamorgan, Wales 19/06/1851. Henry was the son of Henry Austin Bruce 1st Baron Aberdare and Annabella Beadon. Henry died 20/02/1929 at 77 years of age. He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in Ynirygerwn House, Neath, Wales. He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Longwood House, Longwood, Hampshire. She was listed as a resident in the census report in College Villa, St. Helier, Jersey, 1861. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Ynirygerwn House, Neath, Wales, 1891. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Longwood House, Longwood, Hampshire, 1901. Her funeral was held in Mountain Ash, 11/02/1932.

3 ii. Henry Lyndhurst Beckett was born in London c1858. He was listed as a resident in the census report in College Villa, St. Helier, Jersey, 1861. Found in the Times, November 16, 1940
