7. Claude George⁴ Bowes-Lyon (Claude Bowes³ Lyon, George Lyon² Bowes, Thomas George Lyon¹) was born 14 March 1855. Claude died 7 November 1944 in Glamis Castle, Angus, Scotland, at 89 years of age.

He married Cecilia Nina Cavendish-Bentinck in London, 16 July 1881. Cecilia was born in Belgrave, London 11 September 1862. Cecilia died 23 June 1938 in London, at 75 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 45 Grosvenor Place, London, 1881. She was listed as a resident in the census report in The Bury, St. Pauls Walden, Hertfordshire, 1901.

Educated at Eton College. Given commission in the 2nd Life Guards. 14th Earl of Strathmore. Father of the Queen Mother.

14 iv. Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon was born in St. Pauls Walden, Hertfordshire 4 August 1900. Elizabeth died 30/03/2002 in Royal Lodge, Windsor, at 101 years of age. She married George Albert Windsor in Westminster Abbey, London, 26/04/1923.
