4. Claude Bowes³ Lyon (George Lyon² Bowes, Thomas George Lyon¹) was born in Edinburgh c 21 July 1824. Claude died 16 February 1904 in Bordighera, Liguria, Italy, at 79 years of age. His body was interred 24 February 1904 in Glamis, Angus.

He married Frances Dora Smith in Bexley, Kent, 28 September 1853. Frances was born in London c1830. Frances was the daughter of Oswald Smith.
