2. Colonel Alexander² Campbell (Patrick¹) was born 1766. Alexander died 1844 at 78 years of age.

He married Jane Meux Worsley in Cardynham, Cornwall, 30/06/1795. Jane was born 1774. Jane was the daughter of Edward Meux Worsley and Elizabeth Troughear Holmes. Jane died 1820 at 46 years of age.

Colonel Alexander Campbell and Jane Meux Worsley had the following children:

3 i. Alexander Glynn³ Campbell was born in Kingston, Isle of Wight 10/08/1796. Alexander died 1836 in Florence, Italy, at 39 years of age. He was christened in Kingston, Isle of Wight, 25/06/1797. Christ Church College, Oxford, matriculated 28 March 1817. Of Ardchattan Priory, Co. Argyll. MP for Fowey in Cornwall 1818-1820. Died unmarried.

4 ii. Jane Elizabeth Mary Campbell was born 1803. Jane died 1878 at 75 years of age. She married J. Strachan Popham. Had issue.

5 iii. Sophia Margaret Ann Campbell was born 1805. Sophia died 1827 at 22 years of age. Died unmarried.
