27. Richard4 Bagot (William3, Sir Walter Wagstaffe2, Sir Edward1) was born in Daventry, Northamptonshire 22/11/1782. Richard died 15/05/1854 in Brighton, Sussex, at 71 years of age. His body was interred 23/05/1854 in Blithfield, Staffordshire.
He married Lady Harriet Villiers 22/12/1806. Harriet was born 19/03/1788. Harriet was the daughter of George Bussey Villiers 4th Earl Jersey and Frances Twysden. Harriet died 18/10/1870 in Elford Hall, Staffordshire, at 82 years of age. Her body was interred 24/10/1870 in Blithfield, Staffordshire. She made a will 27/01/1870. Harriet's will was probated 26/11/1870.
He made a will 2/05/1851. Richard's will was probated 1/08/1854. Educated at Rugby School and Christ Church, Oxford. Awarded a DD by diploma in 1829. Rector of Leigh and Blithfield. In 1812 he became a prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral, and in 1817 was elected to a canonry of Worcester. Bagot was appointed dean of Canterbury in 1827, and in 1829 he was elevated to the bishopric of Oxford. Bishop of Bath and Wells. Had 8 sons and 4 daughters.

London, 18/07/1837. Charles was born in Grosvenor Square, London 9/02/1813. Charles was the son of Thomas Thynne
2nd Marquess of Bath. Charles died 11/08/1894 in Ditton Park, Slough, Berkshire, at 81 years of age. His body was
interred 15/08/1894 in Old Church, Mortlake, Surrey.

We have to announce the death of Lady Charles Thynne, which happened yesterday at her residence in Radcliffe-gardens. She was the eldest daughter of the late Right Rev. Richard Bagot, Bishop of Bath and Wells, and married on the 18th of July, 1837, Lord Charles Thynne, youngest son of Thomas, second Marquis of Bath. Her only daughter is married to the Earl of Kenmare.

married twice. She married William Henry Dawnay 7th Viscount Downe 1843. William was born 1812.
William died 26/01/1857 in Torquay, Devon, at 44 years of age. (See William Henry Dawnay 7th
Viscount Downe for the continuation of this line.) She married Sidney Leveson Lane 1863. Sidney
was born 1831.

The Dowager Viscountess Downe died at her residence in Belgrave-square on the 14th inst. She was Miss Mary Isabel Bagot, daughter of the Right Rev. the Hon. Richard Bagot, Bishop of Bath and Wells, son of the first Lord Bagot, and was born in 1825. She married first in 1843 the seventh Viscount Downe, who died in 1857, and, secondly, in 1863, Mr. S. L. Lane, retaining her title by courtesy.
