25. Richard3 Bagot (William2, Walter1) was born in Daventry, Northamptonshire 22/11/1782. Richard died 15/05/1854 in Brighton, Sussex, at 71 years of age.

He married Lady Harriet Villiers 22/12/1806. Harriet was the daughter of George Bussey Villiers 4th Earl Jersey. Harriet died 18/10/1870.

Educated at Rugby School and Christ Church, Oxford. Awarded a DD by diploma in 1829. Rector of Leigh and Blithfield. In 1812 he became a prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral, and in 1817 was elected to a canonry of Worcester. Bagot was appointed dean of Canterbury in 1827, and in 1829 he was elevated to the bishopric of Oxford. Bishop of Bath and Wells. Had 8 sons and 4 daughters.

Birthplace found as Daventry in Collins Peerage of England and 1851 census. (Checking with DNB) also in Memorials of the Bagot family, so am changing birthplace to match.

child + 33 iv. Reverend Charles Walter Bagot was born 1812.

child 34 v. Harriet Frances Bagot was born 1816. Harriet died 1892 at 76 years of age. She married Reverend Lord Charles Thynne. Charles was born 1813. Charles died 1894 at 81 years of age.

child + 35 vi. Reverend Frederic Bagot was born 1822.

child 36 vii. Emily Mary Bagot was born 1823. Emily died 1853 at 30 years of age. She married Reverend George Thomas Orlando Bridgeman.

child 37 viii. Mary Isabel Bagot was born 1825. Mary died 1900 at 75 years of age. She married twice. She married William Henry Downe 7th Viscount Downe. William was born 1812. William died 26/01/1857 in Torquay, Devon, at 44 years of age. She married Sidney Leveson Lane. Sidney was born 1831.

child 38 ix. Ethel Bagot was born 1844. Ethel died 1885 at 41 years of age. She married Major-General George Paton. (See Major-General George Paton for the continuation of this line.)
