Right Honorable Charles Arbuthnot was born 14/03/1767. Charles died 18/08/1850 in Apsley House, London, at
83 years of age. His body was interred 1850 in Kensal Green Cemetary, London. He married twice. He
married Marcia Mary Anne Clapcott Lisle 23/02/1799. Marcia was the daughter of William Clapton Lisle. Marcia died
24/05/1806 in Constantinople. He married Harriet Fane 31/01/1814. Harriet was born
10/09/1793. Harriet was the daughter of Henry Fane and Anne Batson. Harriet died 2/08/1834 in Woodford Lodge,
Northamptonshire, at 40 years of age. She was baptized in Fulbeck, Lincolnshire, 2/11/1793. Religion: religion unknown.
Diarist. Her valuable political diary was secreted in her room until her death, then kept at Apsley House; it was not published until 1950,
when it appeared in two volumes as The Journal of Mrs Arbuthnot. Married life spent at Woodford Lodge, Northamptonshire. Died of
Cholera. Educated at Westminster School (1779 - 1784) and Christ Church, Oxford (1784 - 1788). In 1793 Arbuthnot became a précis writer
in the Foreign Office and briefly an MP (1795 - 1796). First commissioner of woods and forests. Confidential friend of the Duke of
Wellington with whom he lived at Apsley House until his death in 1850. Had 2 sons and 2 daughters with Marcia.

Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Arbuthnot was born 1776. Thomas died 26/01/1849 in Salford, at 72 years of
age. His body was interred 1849 in St. Philip's Church, Salford. Thomas served in the military 1794. Thomas was
knighted January 1815. Thomas was promoted 1825 in Major General. Aide-de-Camp to the prince regent in 1814.
