238. Ronald Leslie¹⁴ Balfour-Melville (John Inglis¹³, Leslie Melville¹², James¹¹, James¹⁰ Balfour, John⁹, Professor James⁸, James⁷, James⁶, James⁵, Andrew⁴, James³, David², Alexander¹) was born 1910. Ronald died 1982 at 72 years of age.

He married twice. He married Sheila Dundas Lawrie 1939. He married Elizabeth Jane Waterhouse 1965.

he was educated at Charterhouse whcih he left at the age of sixteen to join the Royal Navy. Two years later he went ot South Africa where for four years he worked for forestry company in Zululand, before renting a dairy and fruit farm near Johannesburg. When war broke out he returned to Scotland and served with the Kings Own Scottish Borderers and S.O.E.

Ronald Leslie Balfour-Melville and Sheila Dundas Lawrie had the following child:
